Odisha: Mohan Manjhi To Be Sworn In As Odisha's First BJP CM | ABP News
The BJP has chosen Mohan Charan Manjhi, a relatively unfamiliar figure who is a four-time MLA and the party's tribal representative, as the new Chief Minister of Odisha.
The swearing-in ceremony to be held on June 12 at 5 pm. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to arrive in Bhubaneswar at 2:30 pm on Wednesday and will proceed to Raj Bhavan before attending the ceremony at Janata Maidan.
Tight security arrangements have been ensured at the proposed venue for the swearing-in ceremony. Several dignitaries, including Union Ministers and Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states, are expected to attend the event.
Mohan Charan Majhi was appointed as BJP Legislative Party Leader in Odisha and named as the state's next Chief Minister yesterday.
