Nirbhaya Case: Patiala House Court refuses to stay death sentence

Patiala House Court has refused to stay the death sentence of two of the four convicts in Nirbhaya Gangrape and Murder Case. Convicts Pawan and Akshay were seeking a stay on the execution of death warrants, scheduled for Tuesday morning. The path to their execution seemed apparently clear as per the ruling of the court.
Earlier in the day, the apex court dismissed the petition of Pawan, saying no case is made out on the curative petition filed by him.
