Ministry of Home Affairs is considering a ban of social media apps on phones used by the personnel of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). The move is being made considering the rise in incidents of hacking, data theft and honey trap. The MHA has sought suggestions over this decision. Institutions like BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, Assam Rifles and NSG will be affected if this ban comes into effect.
