Manish Sisodia To Be Released Today After 17 Months Behind Bars | ABP News

Manish Sisodia has been granted bail after spending nearly 17 months behind bars. He was granted bail in the Delhi Liquor Policy case, where the investigation has been ongoing, and his difficulties were compounded by his prolonged imprisonment.

Sisodia's bail comes with the condition of providing personal sureties of ₹10 lakh each and surrendering his passport. The Supreme Court's comments indicated a favorable outcome for Sisodia, given the delay in the investigation. Last October, when Sisodia initially sought bail, the Supreme Court denied it, noting that the investigation was expected to take 6-8 months. As the investigation continued to drag on, Sisodia approached the Supreme Court again, which acknowledged that delays should not be the responsibility of the accused, leading to the granting of bail.
