Mamata Banerjee's close aide Suvendu Adhikari resigns as minister
Senior TMC leader Suvendu Adhikari has resigned from his post as a minister in Mamata Banerjee cabinet. Adhikari's resignation is being seen a major jolt to the ruling party months ahead of the Assembly Election in the state. Adhikary is a leader that has influence in Medinapur, Malda and nearby regions. Earlier, BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya had indicated that Adhikari is welcome to join BJP.
