Major Gathering Of BJP-Ruled State CMs To Follow NITI Aayog Meeting | ABP News
The 9th NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting, scheduled for Saturday, July 27, is facing a political controversy as several Congress Chief Ministers have announced their boycott. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the event at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre. While all BJP and NDA Chief Ministers are expected to attend, including those from the northeastern states, several from the INDIA bloc have opted out. The boycotting Chief Ministers include Tamil Nadu's MK Stalin, Himachal Pradesh's Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, and Punjab's Bhagwant Mann. Bengal's Mamata Banerjee is the sole Opposition CM attending but has demanded the scrapping of NITI Aayog in favour of reinstating the Planning Commission. The stance of Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren remains unclear.
