In Pune, Maharashtra, while there has been some respite from the rain, it has caused widespread waterlogging throughout the city. The downpour was so intense that rainwater entered around 15 housing societies. Pune recorded over 100 millimeters of rain at four different locations. In response, the administration in Pune Pimpri Chinchwad has declared holidays for schools. Similarly, in Palghar, schools and colleges were closed on Thursday. In Karnataka's Belgaum, schools and colleges have also been shut down due to the heavy rains. Authorities are actively working to manage the situation and ensure the safety of residents, advising everyone to stay cautious and avoid unnecessary travel.
