The downpour was so intense that rainwater entered around 15 housing societies. Pune recorded over 100 millimeters of rain at four different locations. In response, the administration in Pune Pimpri Chinchwad has declared holidays for schools. Similarly, in Palghar, schools and colleges were closed on Thursday. In Karnataka's Belgaum, schools and colleges have also been shut down due to the heavy rains.
