Lucknow Building Collapse: Death Toll Hikes To 8, Leaves Over 25 Injured | ABP News

On Saturday evening in Lucknow's Transport Nagar, a three-story building collapsed, resulting in the deaths of eight individuals trapped under the debris. The incident also left 28 others injured. The building housed four warehouses, including those for pharmaceutical and engine oil companies, where over 30 people were working at the time of the collapse. Rescue operations continued through the night, with police, as well as National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams actively involved. Many of the injured are reported to be in critical condition. Despite the ongoing rescue efforts, there has been no official statement from the authorities about whether the building's collapse was sudden. Local residents suggest that flooding in the area may have weakened the building's foundation. The situation remains under close watch as efforts to rescue any remaining trapped individuals continue.
