PM Modi chose 11:40 AM as the auspicious time to file his nomination because the hour coincides with Abhijit Muhurat and Anand Yog.

According to astrology, Abhijit Muhurat is the eighth muhurat of the day, occurring between the sunrise and the sunset.

At 11:23 AM on May 13, the Pushya Nakshatra began and will continue till 1.05 pm on May 14, followed by an Ashlesha NakshatraPushya Nakshatra is also considered an auspicious time in Hindu astrology, as it is believed that performing activities during this time brings good luck and blessings.

May 14 is an auspicious day as it also coincides with Ganga Saptami, which is believed to be the day Goddess Ganga came down to earth.
