Kolkata HC gives green signal to Gangasagar Mela; forms 3-member committee

The West Bengal government was given permission by the Kolkata High Court on Friday to hold the Gangasagar Mela this year, despite a spike in COVID-19 cases in the state. The authorities have also been instructed by the High Court to form a three-member committee to monitor the situation and ensure that COVID-19 protocols are followed during the Mela.
