Kolkata Doctor Case: Why is Former RG Kar College Principal Sandeep Ghosh Under Scrutiny?

In Kolkata, the name of Dr. Sandeep Ghosh, the former principal of R.G. Kar Medical College, has been widely discussed in connection with the rape and murder case of a trainee doctor. Dr. Ghosh resigned from his position, taking moral responsibility for the incident. On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, during a hearing, the Calcutta High Court questioned the Mamata Banerjee government of West Bengal regarding Dr. Sandeep Ghosh. The court asked how the government could appoint him as a principal elsewhere after he resigned from his position in connection with this case.
