On Thursday, a delegation of Congress officials paid a visit to the violence-plagued Jahangirpuri, but were prevented from entering the area where the North MCD had undertaken an anti-encroachment campaign the day before. Former federal minister Ajay Maken and AICC state unit chief Shaktisinh Gohil were among the members of the Congress delegation. Maken told reporters that the effort was an attack on the poor and their means of survival.
