Jagannath Temple Ratna Bhandar: Treasure Vault Reopened After 46 Years | ABP News
The lock of the Ratna Bhandar of Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha, has been opened. A part of the first gemstone store was accessed, and on Thursday (July 18), its inner section was also opened. This marks the first time in 46 years that the basement of the Ratna Bhandar has been accessed. An 11-member team entered the Ratna Bhandar in the morning at an auspicious time. The basement was opened in the presence of SJTA chief administrator Arabinda Padhi, Justice Vishwanath Rath, chairman of the supervisory committee, Puri District Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain, and other officials. The cellar was opened to transfer the ornaments to the temporary treasury for repairing the gem store.
