Two terrorists were eliminated during this operation, and a significant amount of war material, including two AK-47s and a pistol, was recovered. The Army is still conducting search operations in the area. This development comes just days before the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, raising concerns that the terrorists were planning a major attack either before or during the election period. The first phase of voting is scheduled for September 18, with the second phase on September 25 and the third phase on October 1. The counting of votes will take place on October 8.
