Inspiring story of 'Flying Sikh' Milkha Singh

Legendary Indian athlete Milkha Singh, 91, passed away in a local hospital at 11.30 pm on Friday, said a statement from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh, where he was being treated for Covid-related complications.

The secret behind late Milkha Singh's consistent performances at international level in 400m races was cross-country running which he did while building up for main competitions during his time in the Indian Army.
