The Indian hockey team made history by winning the bronze medal at the Paris Olympics 2024. Under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Singh, India defeated Spain 2-1. Harmanpreet Singh scored both goals for India, making this match particularly special for legendary goalkeeper P. Sreejesh, as it was his final game. This victory marks India’s fourth medal at the Paris Olympics, adding to the three medals already won in shooting.

In the first quarter, both teams fought hard but no goals were scored. Spain took the lead in the second quarter with a goal by Marc Miralles in the 18th minute. However, Harmanpreet Singh equalised for India, and the teams were tied 1-1 at halftime.
