INDIA Bloc Holds Protest Against Union Budget 2024 In Parliament | ABP News
The INDIA bloc leaders staged a protest against the new Union Budget in the Parliament premises on July 24, alleging it to be a "discriminatory budget." Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her seventh consecutive Union Budget 2024-25 on July 23, making major announcements for Bihar and Andhra Pradesh, including a boost in infrastructure and special financial support.
However, the budget drew criticism from several opposition leaders, who claimed it was "biased" and designed to appease NDA allies, particularly in Andhra Pradesh and Bihar. The opposition parties argued that the Union Budget 2024 neglects other states and does not address the broader needs of the country, labelling it as unjust and partisan.
