As severe heatwave conditions in various parts of India has thrown normal life out of gear, Delhi Fire Service Director Atul Garg shed lights upon the number of calls Fire department has received in the wake of rising temperature. He further added that if temperature rises up further, fire calls will increase even more.
Speaking to ANI, Delhi Fire Service director Atul Garg said, “With the increasing heat, we are getting more fire calls. We have attended 220 calls in 24 hours and among them 183 calls were only fire calls. If temperature rises up further, fire calls will increase even more. We have attended every call. We have deployed our forces in such a way that we can attend each and every call…. On the occasion of Diwali, we receive approx. 170 calls, but in my whole professional life or the first time in summer, we have received 183 fire calls…. Yesterday it rained, so I am hoping that numbers of call will get reduced”.
