Heavy snow blizzard brings Ladakh to a halt

Incessant snow fall and a strong blizzard have brought life to a stand still in parts of Ladakh. The UT has been witnessing snow fall for last 4 days. Due to heavy snow cover, roads have been blocked and local markets are shut. Tourists who had arrived for Chadar trek in Zanskar valley were stuck and were rescued by Indian Air Force. Another man, Tariq Iqbal was burried under snow and was saved by the Indian army. Watch this report.
