Health Minister JP Nadda reaches Parliament for the 2nd day of 18th Lok Sabha session
Union Minister JP Nadda reached Parliament on June 25. The nominations for Lok Sabha Speaker and Deputy Speaker will take place today. The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha, began on June 24. After not being able to agree on the post of Lok Sabha Speaker, the opposition has announced its candidate. K Suresh will be the candidate for the post of Speaker of the Opposition. On the other hand, Om Birla has filed nomination for the post of Lok Sabha Speaker on behalf of NDA. The election of Lok Sabha speaker is to be held on Wednesday. This will be the first time in the country when elections will be held for the post of Speaker. Till now the speaker was elected by the consensus of the ruling party and the opposition. But this time this tradition seems to be breaking.
