Haryana Suspends Internet and SMS Services in Nuh Ahead of Shobha Yatra for Public Safety | ABP News

The Haryana government has implemented a 24-hour suspension of mobile internet and bulk SMS services in Nuh district in preparation for the Braj Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra. This order, effective from 6 PM Sunday to 6 PM Monday, is intended to curb the spread of misinformation and ensure public safety in light of last year’s violent clashes during the procession. The previous year’s Vishva Hindu Parishad procession saw outbreaks of violence that led to several deaths and injuries, including the tragic killing of a mosque's naib imam in Gurugram. To prevent any recurrence, this year’s event will see unprecedented security measures, including police and paramilitary forces, as well as drone surveillance, to ensure the yatra proceeds peacefully.
