Haryana Elections: CM Nayab Singh Saini Assures Polls Will Be Held On Time | ABP News
The Election Commission of India (ECI) is expected to announce the poll dates for several key states today, including Maharashtra and Haryana, whose legislative terms end on November 26 and November 3, respectively. Additionally, the ECI may reveal the schedule for Jammu and Kashmir’s assembly elections, with the Supreme Court mandating a deadline of September 30. Recently, the Election Commission visited Jammu, Kashmir, and Haryana to assess their poll readiness, though a visit to Maharashtra is still pending. If the ECI announces Haryana's election dates today, the model code of conduct will immediately come into effect. In 2019, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formed a coalition government in Haryana with the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP).
