Gujarat: Heavy Rains Cause Havoc, Flooding Low-Lying Areas of Porbandar | ABP News
Porbandar, Junagadh, and Devbhoomi-Dwarka districts in Gujarat received heavy rains in the last 36 hours, ending at 6 pm on Friday, July 19. Porbandar taluka recorded the highest rainfall, with 565 mm during this period. The Meteorological Department has forecasted continued heavy rainfall in Porbandar for the next four days.
The intense rainfall has caused significant waterlogging in many areas of these districts, leading to the closure of roads, bridges, and underpasses. This disruption has severely affected vehicular traffic, causing inconvenience to commuters. According to data from the State Emergency Operation Centre, Porbandar taluka in the Saurashtra region received the highest rainfall in the 36-hour period.
