FM Nirmala Sitharaman trolled for statement on onion price | Super 40

People on Twitter trolled Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday, a day after her statement in parliament about not consuming much onions and garlic. Taking a dig at her, senior Congress leader P Chidambaram asked if she ate avocados instead. #OnionPrices trended with 9,793 tweets while #NirmalaSitharaman had got 7,990 tweets.

A user posted a video clip of a man partaking of the meal while licking an onion, garlic and tomato, dangling in front of him through strings.
