First blast to build Zojila tunnel to take place on October 15 | Master Stroke

The first blast to construct the 14 km-long Zojila tunnel will be done on Thursday that is October 15. The blast will be done in the presence of Minister of Railways, Nitin Gadkari. Zojila tunnel will be built on National Highway 1, which is Srinagar-Kargil-Leh highway. This tunnel will provide all-weather connectivity to Ladakh. Just like Atal Tunnel, this one will be of great help during extreme weather conditions.
