Evening headlines in Fatafat style | EC puts ban on rallies until Jan 31
The Election Commission (EC) of India has extended the ban on political rallies, campaigns, and roadshows in India until January 31. District Magistrate (DM) of Kanpur, Bareli, and Ferozabad have been removed by the Election Commission of India (EC). On Thursday, Superintendents of Police (SPs) from Ferozabad and Kaushambi were also sacked ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections. Meanwhile, on Saturday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah began door-to-door campaigning in Kairana, Uttar Pradesh.
