As all looks set for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to form the government for a consecutive third term, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has thrown the dice that could compel the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to mull over. The Chandrababu Naidu-led party, which now plays a pivotal role in the NDA with 16 seats, has demanded 6 ministerial profiles for the party and the post of Lok Sabha Speaker, as per a report by the New Indian Express.

The development comes just a day ahead when the alliance is preparing to stake claim to President Droupadi Murmu to form the government and preparations are in full run for PM Modi's oath ceremony.
