Delhi Police Busts Kidney Transplant Gang | ABP News
The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has dismantled a major kidney racket, arresting eight individuals involved in the illegal kidney transplant scheme. The suspects hail from five different states, with three being former kidney donors who later joined the racket. Sandeep Arya, the kingpin, used to charge Rs 35-40 lakh for procuring a kidney, while the gang paid Rs 4 lakh to Rs 5 lakh to each donor. Delhi police investigation has revealed that the gang facilitated 35 kidney transplants across 11 hospitals. They also used social media to find potential donors. This bust marks a significant crackdown on illegal organ trafficking in the region.
