Delhi girl taken into police custody for protesting over crimes against women tortured by cops

A teenage girl in Delhi was detained and tortured by the lady constables who took her to the nearby police station after she held a placard with a slogan ‘why I can’t feel safe in my own Bharat’, protesting against the rising crimes against women in the country, outside the Parliament in the national capital.

The ABP News reporter told that the police took the girl saying that they would talk to the girl for 15 minutes and then she would be allowed to speak to the media. However, the girl wasn't released even after an hour.

She was taken into custody where her banner was taken away and her bag and other belongings were checked. The girl also complained that she was being tortured by the cops inside the police station.
