Delhi Crime: Gunfire Erupts Again in Delhi, Criminals Open Fire in Gokulpuri Area
In a shocking incident late on Friday night, a firing took place at the Mukul Diesel Petrol Pump in Delhi's Gokulpuri, with 16 rounds fired. Supervisor Anshul Rathi was injured in the attack, suffering injuries from shards of glass. The firing occurred around 10:38 PM, and police were alerted immediately. Rathi was rushed to GTB Hospital, where doctors reported that the injury was caused by glass fragments to his abdomen. According to the initial police investigation, four individuals on two motorcycles arrived at the pump, with one person firing at the office cabin from outside. The attackers fled in two directions, with one bike heading toward Gokulpuri and the other toward the Loha Gol Chakkar. The petrol pump owner, Harish Chaudhary, has raised suspicions of a longstanding local rivalry as the motive behind the attack. Chaudhary, known for his involvement in various legal matters, is believed to be a target due to his reputation in the area. This is the latest in a series of firing incidents in Delhi, including previous cases in Western Delhi's Meera Bagh, Bhalswa Dairy, Nangloi, Alipur, Welcome Colony, Mahipalpur, and Mundka. Despite complaints filed at local police stations, the police have yet to take effective action to curb these shootings.
