Coronavirus: India's tally of active cases crosses 2.88 lakh-mark

In 24 hours, the coronavirus tally reached close to 40,000 fresh cases. The death toll increased to 1,59,370 with 154 daily new fatalities, the data updated on Saturday showed. The total number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 1,10,83,679.
