Congress leader Shashi Tharoor joins Eid-ul-Fitr Namaz prayers in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor joined people offering namaz in Thiruvananthapuram on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Muslims offered Namaz in parts of India on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr on April 10. However, in some parts of India, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on April 11 since the moon was not sighted. States like Kerala, J&K, and Tamil Nadu are celebrating the holy occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr today. Eid ul-Fitr is celebrated on the first day of Shawwal, the 10th month of the Islamic lunar calendar. The festival is of great significance due to the moon sighting which has been part of Islamic culture for a long time
