Cloudburst In Himachal Pradesh's Kullu, Several Shops Swept Away By Strong Water Flow | ABP News
In Himachal Pradesh, the monsoon continues to wreak havoc this year as well. Similar to last year, several areas in Kullu, Mandi, and Shimla districts are experiencing significant damage. Late Monday night, around 2 AM, a cloudburst occurred in the Tosh Nullah in the Kullu district’s Manikaran Valley. This resulted in a sudden rise in the water level, creating flood-like conditions. Several shops were swept away by the strong current, and parts of a private hotel also sustained damage. The bridge connecting Naktahan was also washed away due to the sudden increase in water levels following the cloudburst. Fortunately, there are no reports of casualties at this time. Local residents reported that the water level in the nullah rose suddenly, creating conditions similar to a cloudburst. Among the affected properties were the shop of former deputy head Chunnilal and the hotel of private operator Anil Kant.
