Budget 2020: Nirmala Sitharaman's veiled dig at Rajiv Gandhi
In her Budget speech, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman claimed that previous governments were unable to ensure that all the benefits of government policies made it to the public on ground. Without naming Rajiv Gandhi, Sitharaman said that a former Prime Minister had said that when they spend Rs 1, only 15 paise reaches to the people on ground.
