Breaking News: Devendra Fadnavis Elected Leader of BJP Legislative Party in Maharashtra
Devendra Fadnavis has been chosen as the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra. The decision was finalized during a meeting of the Mahayuti alliance on Wednesday, where Fadnavis was also elected as the leader of the BJP legislative party. Additionally, it was decided to appoint Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar as the Deputy Chief Ministers of Maharashtra. Following this announcement, Fadnavis, along with supporting MLAs, will meet the Governor to stake a claim to form the government. The Mahayuti leaders are scheduled to visit Raj Bhavan at 3:30 PM today. The swearing-in ceremony is set to take place on December 5 at Azad Maidan, with several senior BJP leaders expected to attend.
