The BJP won an election victory on a seat in Kashmir for the first time on Tuesday, facing influential regional parties like the National Conference and PDP. Voting was held for the DDC election in eight phases in Jammu and Kashmir. This was the first election in Jammu and Kashmir after the removal of Article 370 last year.
