BJP accuses SP of seeking Jinnah's support to win elections | Hoonkar (22 Jan 2022)

As the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections 2022 are approaching, the top two contenders, as per the opinion poll, Samajwadi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party have started the blame game. A few days back, SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav was heard appreciating Muhammad Ali Jinnah for India's independence. Since then the political uproar in Uttar Pradesh has begun. The BJP demanded an apology from Akhilesh Yadav. However, SP spokespersons were seen defending Yadav's statement.
