Extremely backward classes have gained prominence in the list of JDU candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. The party has given tickets to 19 candidates from the Most Backward Classes. Nitish Kumar has taken several steps in the last few years to promote the most backward class, including the introduction of sub-quota for this class in reservation for OBCs. The notable thing in this list is that 18 candidates have been given tickets from the Yadav community.
