Bangladesh Violence: Rahul Gandhi Asks This Key Question To Govt In All-Party Meeting | ABP News

The Indian government is closely monitoring the situation in Bangladesh following the recent coup. In an all-party meeting, the Center informed opposition leaders that there are currently 12,000 to 13,000 Indians in Bangladesh. However, the situation is not deemed severe enough to warrant a full evacuation.

Sources indicate that the government assured the opposition that it is keeping a close watch on developments and will keep them informed. Approximately 8,000 Indian students have already returned from Bangladesh. No decision has yet been made regarding Sheikh Hasina. The opposition has expressed satisfaction with the government's handling of the situation. Following a recent coup, the Bangladeshi army has taken control. Army Chief General Waqaruz-Zaman announced that an interim government would be established within 48 hours, promising to restore peace in the country.
