Violence in Bangladesh continues to escalate. Actor Shanto Khan and his father, Salim Khan, were brutally beaten to death by a mob. Salim Khan, who was the president of the Laxmipur Model Union Council in Chandpur Sadar Upazila, was also a film producer and director. The tragic incident occurred on Monday. Shanto Khan and his father were attacked while traveling home in Farakqabad market amidst the ongoing riots. Despite initially defending themselves with gunfire, they were later overpowered and killed by the mob. Salim Khan was known for producing a film on Mujibur Rahman. The Bengali film industry confirmed the deaths via social media, highlighting the severity of the violence.
