'Apology for Jallianwala Massacre', pledges UK’s Labour Party manifesto
Britain's Opposition Labour Party launched its manifesto for the General Election scheduled on December 12 with a pledge which would include an apology to India for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar 100 years ago that is on April 13, 1919.
"We will issue a formal apology for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, and hold a public review into Britain''s role in the Amritsar massacre," notes the manifesto under the sub-head "Effective Diplomacy".
