7 years of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao | Bharat ka Yug (22 Jan 2022)

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, launched Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) on January 22, 2015, in Panipat, Haryana. The Ministry of Women and Child Development, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and the Ministry of Human Resource Development collaborated on it. The strategy includes enforcement of the PC and PNDT Acts, nationwide information and advocacy campaign, and multi-sectoral action in 100 districts with low CSR. On the ground, mindset transformation is emphasised through training, sensitization, awareness-raising, and community mobilisation. After the 7 years of the campaign, for the first time in India, since 1901, the ratio of girls has increased than boys. Currently, India has 1020 girls a count of 1000 boys.
