7 killed after boat capsizes in Odisha’s Jharsuguda, search operation underway | ABP News
A total of seven people lost their lives after a boat capsized in the Mahanadi River in Odisha’s Jharsuguda on April 19. The search operation is still underway to recover the remaining bodies as a total of 50 people were on the boat at the time of the incident. Speaking to ANI, regarding the incident, Havildar, Major, Bal Krishna Thapa said that a total of eight people are missing out of which seven bodies have been recovered and the search operation to find the remaining one is underway. “A total eight people are missing. One person was taken out from the river, yesterday. This morning, six dead bodies were recovered. A total of seven dead bodies have been recovered. The search operation is underway”, said Bal Krishna Thapa.
