MP Elections: Requested PM to waive off farmers' loans, he didn't utter a word: Rahul Gandhi
Following his visit to a Hindu temple here, Congress President Rahul Gandhi came down hard on PM Narendra Modi while addressing a rally. Gandhi accused the prime minister of being ignorant towards the plight of farmers who are burdened under debts.
Gandhi said he once went to the prime minister’s office in the national capital to raise the issue of farmers and requesting him to waive of the loans but Modi refused to say anything on the issue. Accusing the PM of clearing off loans of the rich, Gandhi said it is Modi’s duty to also give relief to the poor farmers but “he didn’t utter a word”.
