Infosys, India's second-largest IT company, has announced its financial results for the first quarter. The company has reported a profit of ₹368 crore for the quarter, reflecting a 7.1% increase from the ₹3,945 crore profit recorded in the same period last fiscal year. Revenue for the quarter saw a 3.6% rise, reaching ₹39,315 crore, compared to ₹37,933 crore in the previous year’s corresponding quarter. Despite the positive growth in revenue and profit, there was a notable decline from the fourth quarter of the previous fiscal year, where Infosys had reported a substantial profit of ₹7,975 crore, largely due to a tax refund.
