Union Budget 2024: Coal traders, labourers in Korba seeks better infrastructure

Ahead of the Union Budget on July 23, individuals associated with coal businesses in Chattisgarh's Korba region are urging the new NDA government to implement measures that safeguard their business interests. They expect the government to fulfill promises made in previous budgets and refrain from diluting shares of public sector undertakings. As per people involved in the industry, transportation is a significant concern for coal businessmen, with some traders requesting improved railway infrastructure and better roads to facilitate the transportation of coal outside the region. As Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman prepares to present her seventh consecutive budget, people are optimistic that industry-friendly policies will be implemented to boost the coal industry's growth.
