Budget's focus is to create jobs & increase income overall: Uday Kotak

MD of Kotak Mahindra Bank, Uday Kotak in an interview with Business Affairs Editor Piyush Pandey said that government is spending a good amount on Covid vaccination, commercial industry. The focus is to raise demand at supply chain, in order to create jobs and overall increase income. 

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the 'PM Aatmanirbhar Swastha Bharat', to be launched with an outlay of Rs 64,180 crore over six years. A supplementary sum of Rs 35,000 crore has also been proposed, which will be used to procure and distribute Covid vaccines in the country.
