Bihar Crisis: Nitish Kumar to seek a trust vote in Bihar Assembly at 11am
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will seek a trust vote in Bihar Assembly at 11am and is expected to reach the majority mark of 122 with ease. Nitish's JD(U) has 71 MLAs in the 243-member House, while the BJP-led NDA has 58. Lalu Prasad Yadav’s RJD, despite being the single-largest party with 80 members, will be relegated to the opposition along with the Congress (27). There, however, are rumours of a rift within the JD(U) over Nitish’s decision to break away from the Mahagathbandhan.
