Why Are Hybrid Cars Cheaper In Uttar Pradesh? | ABP Auto Live

Uttar Pradesh: Unlike electric vehicles (EVs), strong-hybrid automobiles have been gradually increasing market dominance in India while not receiving any subsidies from the Indian government. Nonetheless, in an attempt to increase sales, the government of Uttar Pradesh (U.P.) has eliminated the RTO tax for plug-in and strong hybrid cars. In the northern state, buyers of cars costing more than Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) are exempt from paying the 10% RTO tax. People in Uttar Pradesh are still need to pay registration and hypothecation fees of Rs. 600 and Rs. 1,500, respectively, and the program is not nationwide. Watch the entire video to learn more.
