Ajay Maken resigns as Delhi Congress President citing health reasons
In a sudden move, Delhi Congress Chief Ajay Maken on Tuesday handed over his resignation as a party state Chief, citing health reasons.
Since the resignation came months before crucial Lok Sabha elections, the same is likely to come as a blow for opposition Congress who have already begun their preparations for the polls.
The move is also likely to pave the way for the alliance between the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress, as Maken; who was against the ally is no more at the authoritative position and the same would reduce the chance of BJP coming to power if the two parties come together.
